Just for some add'l comparative data, My non-MA Shield measured @ 7.6 lbs. I just "polished" my trigger bar and sear w/ Mothers chrome polish/cleaned (couldn't locate Flitz) and lowered it by 0.9 lbs to 6.7 lbs.

Did you remove those parts from the gun when you polished them?

My Shield 40 had a stock pull of 6 pounds 9 ounces, using two different pull gages, to measure the pull weight. Put an Apex trigger kit in, and used the stock sear spring and stock trigger spring. Pull went to 4 pounds 4 ounces.
