Default Problem with Shield magazine?

I usually only carry the eight round magazines in my shield but switched to the 7 round to rotate my mags. Loaded with WWB, the magazine is really hard to fully insert. I hand cycled and it did it just fine but I included a pic. Is it me or is the mag protruding a bit too much? If you're a shield owner, is this how your 7 round magazine looks like with one in the chamber? Maybe I'm just being crazy and not used to the 7 round mag...

If it is locked in and it works, then you are "good to go."

Some hang lower than others but as SM stated, if it locks in place and doesn't fall out, your good. Both different mags use the same spring, so the shorter mag will be harder to load the last round and also harder to fully insert into the mag well.

Yes, that is how mine looks also! It locks in and functions as supposed to.
