m&p 2.0 9mm extractor sticking out
hello all, so i finally got around to shooting my two new m&p 2.0 5in in 9mm and 40 sw. both performed well with out issue. after getting home and cleaning them up i noticed the extractor on the 9mm does not sit flush with the slide like the 40 does. i slid a case in and it held it even when i shook the slide around. just seems odd that the 9mm protrudes from the slide while the 40 dosnt. any one else notice this?

I can confirm that my 2.0 9mm compact's extractor does protrude. I do not, though, have a .40 with which to compare it.

I’ll have to check my 2.0 Compact 9mm when I get off work but I think it may protrude also.

Looks like the slide contour "scallop" is smaller on the 9. That would leave the extractor looking proud. Could be the pic, ? If this is the case, then it's a design characteristic..why? I have no idea.

you are correct after i read you message i measured the slides with my calipers. 9mm is .91 and the 40sw is 1.02
