lol I saw the notification too and then noticed the price. What a joke of a store. I suspect other non joke retailers will be getting shipments soon, keep your eyes peeled!

Yeah.... I was opening the link and thinking they would be like $50 and they could go have relations with themselves for that price... Then I saw the $99 and started laughing.... One more shop I won't be purchasing stuff from ever again...

The sad thing is, they have already sold 31 out of the 56 they originally had. These people willing to drop $100 per magazine must not realize they could just go buy a brand new M&P9 with 2 mags for $450.

<expletive> 44mag.com seriously.. I knew they would charge a premium but that is ridiculous.
Midwayusa gets my business because they kept prices normal through out 2013.

The problem with Midway is that shipping costs half of your product total unless you have 5 other things you need to buy. They did seem to raise their prices a little bit too. Usually their pricing is only competitive if you have a coupon to knock down the high shipping, but they've barely put out coupons all year and the ones they do put out can't be used on anything quantity limited anyways (which is every relatively sought after item).

I can't complain about ordering in bulk. Also buying an under armor product atm gets you free shipping. I love those kind of under shirts for working out.
I got some 33 round glock magazines for a very reasonable price. Also Glock 17/19 magazines are about $25 each. M&P15-22 magazines are at a good price as well imo.
So much cheaper than going to Cabelas. (they wanted $40 per glock mag...)

I got the email as well. Completely ridiculous. I will never buy anything from them again. Before all of this craziness, they sold them in the high 20 dollar range.

They lost my business for life. Gouging is one thing but F'ing folks is something altogether different. I do agree, other sites will have em soon I suppose, hopefully not a BS prices. Hopefully what they gain in the selling of these mags at these prices will satisfy them as a company and compensate for the loss of customers such as myself. Never again CTD and 44mag

If I was 44mag and I wanted to make boatloads of $$ gouging I would just sell those items quietly on gunbroker instead of posting them on my website and losing customers for life.

I agree with that. That might have been better for them. I get that business is business, theirs to run how they see fit -- I just hope they lose a lot of customers over this. From the sites I follow (and its still early yet) they will be from what I read, this makes me happy.

Agree with you 100%.
If anyone out there needs a good f'ing I have three that I will sell for $98 each shipping included.

They all sold in matter of mere hours. Part of the problem is people willing to pay those ridiculous prices. We should be letting 44 Mag sit on those, no matter how high the demand is.
But we live in a real world I suppose.

Yeah, it's embarrassing. As gun enthusiasts we should be working together to promote our hobby. If I were a retailer I would want to sell them at normal prices to help promote shooting. As a small store I might sell them at MSRP (~$42), but wouldn't risk losing business like this.
I rarely sat that I'll never shop at a store. However, I've never purchased anything from 44mag.com in the past and I see no reason to start.

There was a dude on here that was selling them for $89 a while back. I though that was laughable. I found a dude on guns America that was selling them for $40 a pop. That's better. 4, please.

The sad thing is, there have been a lot of 17rd mags available on gunbroker and forum classifieds for $50-80. I was expecting 44mag would be $50 or $60 which I would pass on without a second thought. I haven't seen many go for $100, which is why it's so surprising 44mag sold out so quick.

M&P mags are more valuable than precious metals right now. I had a buddy (ICE Agent) swoop me up four 17 round 9mm mags out of state recently. I paid $30 each.

LoL, $100 per mag.
Buy them new with the 9c and u basically get a gun for $250. Too smart of an idea for most people now days.
44mag has now taken the vacant spot right next to CTD.

Yeah, I was pissed when I got to the site too late and they were out of stock. Then I didnt feel so bad when I found out they wanted $99.95.
Even more amazing than them having the balls to charge this much is that enough people bought them to run them out of stock. I mean if you buy 2 it's $200. You are then a third of the way to the price of a new M&P pistol, which will come with 2 mags.
Come on people, this ridiculous situation won't last forever. Tough it out.

I got the notification too. Couldn't believe the price. Bought lots of different mags from 44mag in the past. Good prices and service. Never again. Cheaper Than Dirt is very close to me. Never again.

The fact they just got some in & the S&W is shipping back orders tells me mags are just around the corner. Only suckers would pay the $100 a mag, but I don't pity those fools. 44mag will never get any business from me.

A little sand with your vaseline. That is plain retarded on the stores part and incredibly short sighted. Lost my business forever.

I bought four mags from them last summer for my M&P 40 at $25 each + a reasonable shipping amount. I have bought AR mags from them in the past also and been very pleased.
Here's the thing though guys. If you don't like the price, don't buy them. I got the email today also and they were sold out with no price listed by the time I checked. Coming here and finding out they wanted $100 each makes me laugh, but I am not mad at them. I won't pay that. If in the future they have something I need for a decent price, I'll buy it.
Capitalism...how does it work again?

Well, they sold them all.
I think I bought the same magazines last year for my original FS9 for $25 each through them. They know they're taking advantage since I bought the same mags from 44mag.com last year for a 1/4 of the price. S&W sticking 100% of the magazines in brand new M&Ps dosn't help either. If people are buying entire guns just for the mags, then that's a problem.
Very glad I switched to a FS45.

This mag thing is really making me wish I had not traded my G19 Gen4 for an M&P. I have been stuck with only two mags for 5 months, while I had a dozen or more for the Glock.

First it was the 15-22 magazines they were charging a King's ransom for and now the 17 Rounders. Hey you knjow something.....they won't ever see a dime of my money again no matter what but if they can get buyers at 100 bucks a pop more power to them. Nobody is forcing people to shell out 100.....
I have 2 sitting on b/o from Cabelas since January at 39 apiece I can wait.
Plenty of other guns to shoot in the meantime, no issues there

Sounds like you made out like a bandit. Gen4 19s are a dime a dozen and brass to the face even more plentiful.

It's a good thing I also have a 9mm barrel for my Shield .40 or i may have been dumb enough at that time to offer to trade all my 9mm ammo with the Gen4. Sure am glad i kept all of that stuff for a rainy day (or should we say a rainy year, lol).

I'm not a ruthless free-market person but they still have product and others don't. Same with cheaperthandirt.
That being said. I don't buy from either but I do get their business model, whether I agree with it or not.

I somewhat agree, but they better hope there are always products in high demand that they can get there hands on while other can't or the business model will go down the tubes. Then they will really be missing all the customers they are alienating.

There are enough people out there that won't see stuff like this. So, when the supply catches up to the demand, they will still be able to sell stuff. The few of us that are on to them won't make a dent in their market share.
That doesn't mean I'm running to them. There are too many other places to buy mags and anything else they sell.

Mags worth $100, just imagine how much someone could sell Shield 9mm barrels for in this "anxious to spend money" buying time.
Those $70 barrels would fetch $200 right now. Hrmmmmm
Oh nooooooo there may be a shortage on Shield 9mm barrels...........Oh wait, there already is. =-)

My wife had ordered some mags for me for christmas from botach before the incident at sandy hook. The day after the shooting they raised their prices and canceled our order at the cheaper rate...

That is FAR worse than what 44mag is doing. I have only bought one thing from botach and it was without incident. I have heard MANY horror stories...yours is the worst. That is down right robbery.

I hate to break it to you guys... but I don't think S&W shipped out any mags.
It looks like instead of receiving a shipment of mags, 44mag simply purchased a bunch of gun kits and then split them up. They have been listing frames, slides, complete guns with no mags over the past few days. They obviously realized they can't sell a M&P with 2 mags for $700-800, but they can if they buy the kit and then sell the frame, slide, and mags separately.

I think you are right especially since they are selling the Core grips for an insane price and you don't see anyone else selling those
They used to be a good place to go......now they've gone the way of CTD....but as long as they keep selling and getting the prices they're asking I don't see them changing their practice....
