Default Remora holsters

Quick question..

I am the proud owner of a 9c and I was thinking of getting a Remora holster to wear for CC. I would use this holster when I was not wearing a belt. My question is, should I get it with the full sweat shield so the butt of the gun does not poke me in the side like my old CC gun does or not? I am slightly concerned with the FS sweat shield and getting a good grip on it. Though I am sure practicing with it would solve that. Anyone have any thoughts on the Remora for a 9c?

I have a Remora for my 9C...It's the reinforced top ART (I think that's right...The one that allows a solid grip in the holster) and I love it. I have carried it pretty much every day for the past two and a half years. I did not get the sweat-shield so I cannot comment as to how that would work. I carry Appendix IWB. YMMV.

I have the full sweat shield for a Shield9 and, for athletic shorts or sweats with no belt, it works pretty well. The sticky material holds it in place, its comfortable next to skin or shirt, is pretty thin aiding concealability. The full sweatshield does its job of padding/covering both the frame AND grip and accordingly will not allow as quick a draw as holster without that design. Guess it depends on what you want most, faster draw or greater comfort. Getting older, comfort matters to me so I practice more to enhance my draw speed. To me, it's been a worthwhile trade-off. Remora makes a very good product at a very good price and customer service is great. Alan the owner will go out of his way to help you.

Another Remora holster fan here. Wear mine with a Shield 9 in it all day - every day. Holding up quite well. Recommended!

I wear mine with a 9mm FS. Comfortable.

But I do not recommend it for dry practice since re-holstering your weapon is awkward.
