Default Mag compatibility M&P9/Sig 226?

Hello all

I was fiddling around with my 10 round MP mags and was also cleaning my Sig 226 and was comparing the two. The Mag catch cuts are about 2mm difference between the two and the fit it pretty close. Can anyone here test it out for feed and reliability issues?

It would be unlikely that they are compatible. But, you have the guns, why not try it yourself?

I Don't have any snap caps or ammo with me. The Sig 226 mag does fit inside the S&P and does lock. the only issue is that it's feed lips are 1-2mm lower then the feed ramp, Looks like it would feed from the mag but with a lower feed angle it could jam. Just seeing if anyone else could do a live function test, as I cannot at the moment.

I'm sorry I can't help you as I don't have a Sig.

Still, it's very unlikely that it will work. They are very different guns. Also, a 2mm difference is huge when talking about the tolerances involved with feeding ramps and chambers. I'll be very surprised if it works. Actually, I'm already surprised that they even fit in the M&P.

The tubes of the Beretta 92 and the SIG 226 are similar. The 226 magazine will not interchange with the M&P magazine.
