Default NDZ Extended Base Plate

Absolutely love my Shield. Have carried concealed since 1974 and the Shield blows anything I have carried away when it comes to conceal ability and comfort. But I carry IWB cross draw and my greatest fear has been that under stress drawing with a two finger purchase on grip would result in me throwing the gun away! Got my extended base plate today and am blown away. I love it when you buy something and it is better than expectations. My gun rips out of holster with a full grip! Confidence is everything and NDZ restored mine.

Don

20 bucks to grab a full grip? No brainer. Fit finish flawless. Hope I get a T-Shirt!

Thumbs up NDZ

I bought their 3 pack. They went on after watching their video in about
5 mins for all 3. Then I ordered the plate with a logo on it. Did not get the logo on the first set of 3 , but I picked up a few more mags ,so I might get it to match on the next 3?

I got one, put it on my 7 round (9mm) mag, and found that it doesn't really fit my hand very well. Fit and finish to the magazine are superb, but fit to my pinkie is, well, painful. The end of the extension digs into the flesh about 1/3 up the diameter of my little finger. The extension being metal, and cut at a fairly acute angle, it is uncomfortable to grip, and actually hurts while firing. So I installed it on the 8 rounder instead and I really like it there, so that's where it will remain. Guess I must have fat fingers.

Yep, your hands are just too large to fit in the space provided with the 7 round mag and pinky extension. I had the same issue with my Kel Tec PF9 and factory pinky extension which is similar in shape to the NDZ extension. What happens is your fingers are jammed together between the trigger guard and pinky extension. Once I put a longer extension on the mag that problem was fixed.

I have smaller hands so I expect the NDZ extension and 7 round mag to work out perfect for me on the Shield once I buy one. It is nice that the NDZ extension also works on the 8 round mag for those with larger hands though.

We'll see how it works out.
