I shot the mp9 this morning in doors and it shot great..except it shot to the left and i put about 150 rounds threw it...American Eagle 145 fm loads.....I want to adjust windage about 2 inches....i see the set screw..how hard is to do...could nt get it to slide for me at the range...can i tap it with a small wooden dowel...with tiny hammer?

If you are right handed, it is probably not a sight problem (assuming the sight is close to centered). Most right handed shooters tend to crank the hand around to get a little more leverage or better reach on the trigger. The gun then recoils toward the weak point, which is to the left. Before you start to screw with (or, should I say screw up) the sights (they are exceedingly difficult to move due to an incredibly tight fit - loosening the set screw will make no difference), make sure you are shooting with the pistol absolutely straight in line with the forearm and the bones of the wrist so that the pistol recoils up instead of to the left.

Your best bet is to find a tiny screwdriver since you see the screw. Patience. There isn't always a quick fix to have something fully adjusted at the range.

Not your best bet is steel is harder than wood and if there's no plastic you may be able to tap and slide it over some without scratching. A bad idea is tapping with a rock or hammer unless it's your only option, but I'd aim slightly to the right every time before using a rock

It you want to change it, loosen the set screw, make sure you know your starting point, use a drift with a small hammer moving the sight in the direction you want the shot to go. A good idea is to cushion the sight with a cloth to prevent scratching. Not a tough job. You don't have to move the sight far, small steps. Make sure to tighten the set screw when done.
