aftermarket m&p 17rnd mags?
Are there any good manufacturers of 17rnd 9mm mags for m&p. If so what brands.

No (meaning there is a manufacturer of aftermarket magazines and I think they're only good for use as targets)

Quantico Tactical has them for $26/each if you buy a 3 pack.

Pro Mag makes a magazine for the M&P pistol now. The reviews are mixed.

I have 3 Pro Mags. Two work just fine, the third will lock the slide back with one round still in it. It's an annoyance more than anything, but I do have S&W mags that are SD ready. I use the Pro Mags for range only.

The only good manufacturer of mags for the M&P is a company out east called Smith & Wesson.
