Default Mag Extensions - 9mm

Good Day,

I'm looking for mag extensions for my M&P Pro 9mm. I've seen them at MidwayUSA and arredondoaccessories. I' not sure if I just need the extension or if the spring is needed as well.

Also, what's the difference here:

Smith & Wesson M&P Base Pad and Insert from Arredondo Accessories

The two options are:
Smith & Wesson Base Kit - $22
Smith & Wesson M&P Base Pad and Insert - $17.60

At MidwayUSA:
Arredondo Extended Magazine Base Pad S&W M&P 9mm +6 - $17.99
Arredondo Extended Magazine Base Pad with Spring S&W M&P 9mm +6 - $22.99

What's the difference and what do I need?

I hope I don't sound or look like an idiot here...

Looks to me like the "kit" includes a new spring. I have no experience with that manufacturer, but here's another option. M&P Floorplates : Taylor Freelance, Products for Glocks and Competition Shooting

Here is another option..
Base Pad Kits : tarantacticalinnovations.com

It will turn your 9mm 17 round mags into 23+1 mags. Plus the added weight of the aluminum base pad will make your mags fall out faster for faster reloads. They are $41.99 for the base pad kit. The kit includes the spring. Hope this helps.

I use the Taylor Freelance pads on my guns, they are also available in brass for the added weight. They will usually work with the stock spring but sometimes might not lock the slide back on the last shot.
