Default Shield 9 range report.

The Shield performed flawlessly. I love this thing. I cannot say the same of the shooter. I only shot 75 rounds last night. Very accurate and as soft a shooter as my Gen4 G19. My problem was my grip, although I did not figure that out until after I got home. The slide would not lock back after the last round on either mag. Problem was my thumb resting on the slide lock lever. My grip is not an issue on my Glock but I will have to adjust so as not to hinder the slide lock on my Shield.

Just took mine out today and seemed to have the same problem. I think it only locked 3 times out of about 15 mags. I thought I was limp wristing it so I adjusted but it still did it. Funny thing is my 17 year old seemed to not have the same issue so I'm thinking I could've been doing the same thing as you. Will have to check next time at the range. I only had one jam, fte. Other than that it was pretty accurate.

Love my 9mm Shield. Not experienced any issues after couple hundred rounds. For small size accuracy is very good. It has been a keeper ever since I fired that first round.

The thumb resting on the slide lock is very common with big hands that have a high grip.
