thanks shakey
Yeah I fired a few different pistols before making a decision...
Kimber, glock and then the M&P I liked the glock over the M&P but hated how the style of the gun was just so plain and ordinary However a fantastic feeling hand gun... The Kimber was great appearance wise and feel but the price was just outta hand... So I decided on the M&P 40 field carry with 3 mags the loader and the Crimson Trace laser... I just haven't shot Mine Own yet..

Another welcome to the forums. Let us know what you think of the weapon after you have had a chance to shoot some.

Welcome to the Forum. You won't receive a notification if someone replies on your thread, but you will receive an email notification if someone PM's you. If you set it up that way, that is. I wonder why no one seems to enter where they're from in their personal stats anymore?

Welcome to the forum from another forum new guy and also a recent purchaser of the M&P 40. I had rented a couple to try to decide on what I wanted and loved the feel of the Smith. Picked mine up yesterday and put some rounds through it. Love it!!

You CAN set it up on a thread-by-thread basis. When signed in, go to the thread. Click on "thread tools" from the menu above the posts. Then select "subscribe to this thread" then select "instant notification by email" from the dropdown menu.

Welcome aboard. The M&P 40 seems to be the Model 10 of the M&P line - the first one introduced and the one is probably most common, and the one that elicits the least complaints. Like everyone else said, go shoot and enjoy.

pictures
was able to get to the range first thing this morning.. put a 100 rounds thru the gun for the 1st time... Federal American Eagle 180 grain ammo... 1st impression of my gun compared to the rental I fired... The trigger is stiff as can be... I think I may actually be pulling the gun down and away from the target when firing it... either that or its shooting low and away from what im aiming at... Otherwise I LOVE IT.... Im going to try and run some more rounds thru the gun this week and see if it needs to be broken in... I even allowed the range master to fire it and He felt the Gun was shooting Low and away... I had to aim Up and to the left to hit the center of the target... Heres a few Pictures

Welcome from the great state of Massachusetts where even with a large cap LTC you can't get a large cap mag. Unless you're a criminal, I guess.

welcome to the forum from another FS40 owner....my 40 freed up after around 300 rounds and I like the way it shots now....I was also low and left to begin with...keep shooting it will get better...as for posting pictures it took me awhile to figure it out...I use photobucket...after I get my pictures in there I right click to copy the URL and the when you left click on the add photo above the message you can paste the url in the box and add it....just the way I figured out for me....I am sure there are easier ways to do it
