I see some of these M&Ps with the Emblems and lettering Engraved How is this done.. I just bought my gun and I think this is a really nice touch to it..

What you're most likely looking at is filled letters, not engraved. A lot of people will use paint or nail polish to get the effect. You can use the search function to look at different colors that people have done. most of the threads will be in the M&P section. Here is the slide of my 40c.

Don't think it would work on a matte finish though.

If you want to try the look but not necessarily commit, rub a Crayon over the engraving really fast, slowly getting the wax to warm and fill the engraving. Wipe the surface lightly with some alcohol to clean the surface and you will have color filled engravings that can easily be removed later should you get bored or want to sell it. The Crayon engravings I did on my AR cost me nothing in supplies and have lasted for half a year.
