polishing
committing to polishing the barrel on my M&P 40 the barrel is now soaking in
white distilled vinegar for the next many hours.. I will scrub and polish it
tomorrow night on an buffing wheel with Mothers Metal polish... Hope it turns
out great...

Polishing it with mother's metal polish shouldn't hurt it as long as you don't use a high speed wheel like on a Dermal tool.

It's unlikely that you'll hurt it even with a Dremel.

yea
I go to the range every week at least once and typically put 200 rounds at a time thru the gun every week.. This is my 1st pistol... im so very happy with making the decision to buy S&W M&P but I wanted to make my pistol more appealing then just all black.. so I did a aluminum FSS apex trigger that helped my Groupings GREATLY tan backstraps to offset the black and I polished the barrel and painted the engraving just for looks... Now I have the gun I love to shoot. that looks amazing aswell..
