Magazine Disconnect Safety
My gun has the mag disconnect, which I did not want when I ordered it. I've seen the procedure for taking it out and it certainly doesn't look difficult. My question is, is there a specific S&W spring to replace the spring that is currently in there? If so, where can I get one??? Thanks!

Do a search here (not being a jerk, had the same question/same problem.)
I ordered one off Speed Shooters Specialists, I ordered other parts from them, the spring was $4.
Now, you can hit the hardware store if you know what you're looking for and spend .50.
However, my time, gas, guessing, etc., is worth money too...
Your call. Spring is readily available and cheap.

Here is a thread right here on S-WForum:
m&p magazine disconnect safety removal
The thread includes a link to step-by-step destructions
You can buy a drop-in spring for $4.00, or an Ace Hardware "#1 size" spring will cost under 50¢ - the Ace spring is long enough to do 2 guns easily.

No, once you own the gun, you can do what you want to it as long as it doesn't violate any other law. The magazine disconnect is only required to get on the approved handgun list. Once you own it, you can remove it.
