Default M&P 9/40 mag dimensions

Could someone tell me what the dimensions (width and thickness) are of a M&P 9 or 40 magazine? I'm trying to figure out how much difference there is in a Beretta 92FS and whether or not they will both take the same mag pouch. Thanks

It will depend on how forgiving the mag pouch is. I have both guns and consequently both mags. The 92FS mags are a little bit smaller.

Measured front to back, the 92FS mag is 1.252" and side to side is .806".
Measured front to back, the M&P mag is 1.267" and side to side is .856".

The difference is enough that an M&P mag would be quite tight in a fitted 92FS mag pouch. If the pouch were cloth, it would probably have enough give to work. If it's Kydex, it won't work. If it's leather, it might work or at least could be stretched with a little effort.

Thanks Rastoff. I am wanting to know if a Beretta 92 FS mag would fit correctly in a blade tech revolution SW M&P 9/40 mag pouch. I know they are tension adjustable, so if the 92FS is narrower I may be able to tighten them up enough for good retention. Do you happen to have any blade-tech single mag pouches that you use for these two?

I have a Blade Tech Revolution mag pouch, but for a 1911 not for either the M&P or Beretta. Yeah, a 92FS mag will fit, but won't be exactly right. It might be too loose. Of course a small piece of Mole Skin could fix that right up.
