New to shooting and S&W..
I just wanted to say hi to everyone and introduce myself.
I'm new to shooting in general and I am in the process of purchasing my first handgun(horrible gun control in Canada). After months of research and shooting at my local club and trying different members guns I decided to go with the M&P9 range kit. The price here was $650 for the complete kit which based on other is a fair deal for what I get. I loved shooting the CZ Shadow as a target gun but in Canada I didn't want my first handgun to cost me $1200.
I was browsing the forum and see I have tons to learn and read.
Anyway, I'll do my best to not ask stupid questions that can be answered with a little reading.

Welcome.
Welcome. I'm more of a revolver guy but I don't discriminate. I like steel and polymer semi-autos also. There will be members with experience with the semi-autos coming along soon to welcome you and give advice.

Welcome to the Forum and to shooting!
While there's a lot to learn from the forum threads, it'd be great if you can find a local instructor, in order to get some supervised observation and instruction.
Enjoy!

Welcome to the forum!
You will find that the shooting community as a whole are very friendly and we love to share our knowledge with others. We are all beginners at one point, don't be affraid to ask questions. There are many here that will be happy to answer.
Enjoy your M&P. Be safe and if you can get good training from a local instructor. It will be invaluable in learning the proper way without having to unlearn bad habits.

Welcome from the other CA (California). I enjoy shooting mine.
The extra mags and the Uplula are great.
You'll see a zillion threads about the trigger feel and lack of reset. Each thread references the APEX trigger kits. I'd suggest reading them for your enjoyment, but focus on getting ammo and shooting first before you drop money on "upgrades".

Welcome from Oklahoma! You came to the right place. In the short while I've been here I've learned a lot & had a ton of fun. There are people here from many countries, & its always cool to get a different perspective on things.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm lucky enough to have a few IPSC Black Badge instructors at my club. I will be learning from some great guys.
Now back to reading hundreds of old threads.

The only stupid question is the one not asked.
We were all novices at one time. I learn a lot from the folks here. So will you!

Anyone who says they don't have tons to learn is only fooling themselves. We all have more to learn.
The only stupid question is the one that goes unasked. If you never ask, I guarantee it won't be answered. When it comes to guns, I'd rather answer the same question a thousand times than have even one person hurt themselves, or someone else, because they didn't ask.
Just don't drag up old threads (more than a month since the last post). If you see an old thread and want to ask about it, start a new one. And, if someone gives you grief for asking a question, just ignore them or press the little in the upper right corner.
