I have a new shield 9mm that has a slight false reset. The audible sound does not bother me, but when I feel it in my finger I get tricked into thinking the reset is complete and then press the trigger.
Other than that I have no complaints with pull weight or smoothness (grittiness) that others have had. I hope several hundred rounds will make a difference. I do not want to replace the complete trigger system.
Any advice is appreciated on how to remove this pre-complete reset "click"

I recall when mine was new there was a very slight sound JUST before the reset but I only heard it when I was sitting around dry firing and checking everything out. Frankly I never noticed it at the range...I just checked it now and there is a barely perceptible sound of something rubbing but to hear it you have to have to room totally quiet...I really don`t know how that could effect anyone...but there are a lot of differences in the same guns..
