Default Shot Shield 9......big difference

First, let me start out by saying I love my Shield.40 a lot. Primary carry on my LTC.

However, when qualifying this past week, I shot a few magazines through my buddies Shield .9mm. He had the Talon grips and trigger work. This is an awesome firearm! An extra 100bucks and well worth it!

It's almost like a power steering in a car. More of a difference in felt recoil than my .40 of the same make! Quite a bit less, more so than I would have figured.

Trigger and grip makes this an awesome weapon in my opinion.

Anyone have both? Which do you prefer? Why?

Love my .40!

I love my 40 shield. Im accurate enough but need more practice for sure. Recently put the rubber talon grips on it and now it feels like its glued to my hand with the pearce ext. Since I don't really feel like shooting the trigger smooth like I did with my 45fs I'll most likely get the sear and usb and leave it at that. Wearing it right now appendix and I forget its there. I have a Cook's adjustable cant holster coming for it that I can't wait to receive.

9mm Shield with the Apex carry trigger kit and Trijicon sights... not real happy with the sights yet- still a work in progress- but the gun itself- Love it!! Trigger is awesome now.
Gun has never misfired/jammed/failed to feed.

Never shot the 40 but I have the 9 Shield. I also put on the rubber talon grips (excellent), had a trigger job because I'm in Massachusetts where the trigger pull is 10+ lbs! Ameriglo night sights with the front hi viz orange AND the latest great upgrade is the pierce grip extension for the 7 round mag (highly recommended if you have large hands).
