Any rebates now or up coming?

Only one I've heard of is for current or retire MIL till the end of 2014.

Yes, unlike many other companies, S&W only give rebates to LE or MIL.

I've heard (not done it myself) that Bud's (http://www.budspolicesupply.com/catalog/le_info.php) accepts military veterans in addition to their list of first responders. Many people have said that sending a copy of your DD214 (if you have one). will satisfy their requirements even though their website lists only active duty and retired military. If you have served (or otherwise qualify from the list) it's probably the best deal around.

Minimize the variables

They do (Buds) but Sportsmans Outdoor Super Store (SOSS) offers a buying program that is much larger than just MIL/LE. It includes many local, city, state employees, and some private from TSA, armed airline pilots, EMTs, firefighters, licensed security companies, corrections, etc...

If it applies to you, I'd highly recommend them as SOSS's price is the price vs. differentiating between cash or credit; Personally I have a problem with that. And the price is just as good or better than Buds with the ability to email or call if there's an issue.

I have no personal affiliation with SOSS nor am I a disgruntled Buds customer. I've bought a few from Buds, but recently found and used SOSS with much less headache and great CS.

I googled last night and found the rebate and thought it applied to everyone but now see it is military. I was happy for a short time thinking I would get another $50 back on my M&P Pro; I guess not, oh well.

S&W had a rebate for 2 free mags when I bought my 40C in 2010. They ran a series of similar rebates on M&Ps back in those days.

Haven't seen any that are open to the public since.

Kind of messed up if you ask me...
