New to S&W M&P world. I like what i see.
Hello all. Bought a S&W M&P 9 Dark Earth kit, coming from the Glock family. Love Glock and would trust my life with a Glock but the M&P is just too freakin pretty. Got a steal of a price for a never fired firearm. All the reviews I spent countless hours watching and reading I knew this was the way to go. Tried to upload a pic but it wouldn't let me.

You need to experience a 3rd gen. A 6906 or a 3913. If you like Glocks ( I do as well) I think you will really be drawn to them.

I did experience the 3rd gen. Like the 4th too but again M&P's are just too damn pretty. I've also been without a weapon since being in the military for 5 years, too many restrictions overseas but after being briefed we need to arm up by the base commander cuz of ISIS and their threats here on the home front I decided to go with the bi-tone Dark Earth edition.

Do to grip angle, the M&P is an easy gun to transition to and from other platforms as compared to Glocks. Don't get me wrong, I own and sometimes carry a G19. If I had a genie, I would ask him to tell S&W to make a factory M&P that had the same size and capacity as the G19. I may eventually have a FS M&P Chopped.

Congrats on the new blaster M187. I'm sure you're gonna love it.
Where are you stationed?

I'm not sure I follow your logic here. Third gen guns are great, but they're nothing like a Glock. Why would a Glock aficionado be drawn to a third gen?

Glock vs. S&W
Have many Glocks. Good guns; easy to disassemble and assemble;
but I also have M2.0 5 inch and M2.0 4.25. The Smith's without a doubt feel better and more accurate on range. Put a Apex tactical flat face trigger in both which decreased travel by 50% which in turn made it even more accurate. Trying to find a reasonably price M2.0 3.6 inch. Hard to find!!

Glocks are ok, but M&P is on a whole different level...

They do. It's the M&P 2.0 Compact 4in. 15 round mag. same size as the glock 19.

Is there some reason a 4 year old thread was resurrected?

Yep, nicalex is new and excited to be part of this community. He probably did a search or just read a lot and found this thread. Because he had a similarly happy experience, he commented while not realizing the age of the thread.
No big deal, it happens.
