M&P performance center ported trigger
Bought one of these today:
Product: M&P®9 PERFORMANCE CENTER® PORTED
But it's still in California's 10 day waiting period jail. Got to handle it a bit before it was put back in its cell. The trigger felt great, but, the reset was almost nonexistent. I have a Shield that has a slight reset, but this one was almost imperceptible compared to the Shield. Anyone know if this is normal for M&P pro's?

The trigger reset on the Shield is more tactile and audible than on the other models (it is a common complaint of M&P owners), Apex tactical RAM would fix that.

This one is high on my radar. I have not owned any M&P's but have fired a few. I'm asking here but would you not want the "non-existant" trigger reset feel? I mean the gun is designed for "competition" per say, so that would be a good thing. Please send a range report after her sentence is up. I just saw the first one yesterday on Gun Broker. Good luck with it and enjoy!

Risking bringing up the "trigger reset" argument, what I don't understand about your situation is that the reason for porting the barrel is to reduce muzzle flip and make follow up shots faster but shooting to the reset is not something that is associated with speed shooting. I shoot a couple of matches a week (plus practice time) and have never shot to the reset and don't know anyone who does. (at least in USPSA and Steel Challenge). Also, I don't think the Apex RAM will work on any of the newer M&P's, but I'm not certain about that.

I watched a slow-motion video of Rob Leatham's hands while shooting at speed. His finger came completely off the trigger. I'd say he doesn't shoot to reset, and it has not hurt his career!

Thanks for the input guys, I hadn't considered that the lack of reset would be a positive thing for competition.
Saudade - sorry, local shop in NorCal, I was surprised they could get it too.

A picture is worth a thousand words. I love this pic. You fired the round, as it is seen in the air, the slide is already in battery and it looks as though you are simply aiming and have now pulled the trigger yet. That, is fast follow-up with no indication of muzzle flip. Very cool! Kudos to the camera person........and S&W CORE Ported

My wife (the photographer) thanks you for the complement, and that isn't a ported Core, it's the old version.
