M&P Range Session
My wife and I headed out to the range last Saturday. Her to put some more rounds through on her M&P 9 FS, and me with my newly acquired Shield 9mm. Traded my Ruger SP101 for the Shield to use as my new carry gun. Have to say I am happy with the decision. Added bonus is both of our 9's like my cast bullets.

I wouldn't make her mad, if I were you! Good shooting for both of you! Nice that she enjoys going to the range; always good to have a partner to shoot with :-)

Consider having an Apex DCAEK Trigger Kit installed in your Shield. It reduces the trigger pull from 6.5lb to 5-5.5lb and provides a very crisp reset 'click'. My groupings tightened up considerably on both my Shield and 9c and moved from lower left to center.

Hopefully next year we will be able to get out to the range more. Picked her up a set of electronic hearing muffs to make it more comfortable next summer. Thinking another revolver will be in our future, as she really like my Ruger SP101, but would prefer a model with adjustable rear sights.

Its always nice to have "your better half" enjoy and participate in the shooting hobby. Even better if she "outshoots" you on an occasion. We just had a new indoor range open up in Bowling Green, so we stopped by to take a look at it. Guess who suggested we take out a membership. I jumped on the suggestion, been there twice in two weeks. The wife even took a liking to my FS M&P40 and shot it well.

I've only put about 250 rounds through the a Shield. Fortunately it and my wife's FS like my cast reloads so I will have to get casting for next summer. Still on the fence about making any modifications to the either gun. My wife's FS could use a cleaner trigger break and shorter travel.

My wife loves to shoot as much as I do, we got our CCW permits together. I borrowed a little .22 auto for her to qualify with, her target looked a lot better than mine did, and she still reminds me occasionally.
