Default Sight Problems

Ok I'm not as young as I use to be and my sight isn't either. I'm having problems acquiring the front site on my shield. Any suggestions on how to make it easier to see. Looking at changing out the sights if I have to.

I have the same issue with my iron sighted guns. A fiber optic helps, but I had to teach myself point shooting. Funny thing is at 15 yards or less my groups are actually tighter than they used to be when I used sights. A word of warning - it took me hundreds of rounds to reach any sort of proficiency and you have to practice on a regular basis to maintain that proficiency.

I have old eyes as well. Either a fiber optic or "big dot" front sight seems to help. For defensive shooting you don't really need to sight the gun, but rather "reference" the sights as you look over the barrel.

Aging eyes also. I wear bifocals. Take a look at XS Big Dot Sights. I had them installed on my Shield about 6 weeks ago and they have helped. Since then I found these ADVANTAGE TACTICAL SIGHT! Yeah, they're different but I like em! Their design makes a lot of sense.
