Late last December, I was very happy to buy a model M&P .40 SKU: 178032 Pro Series weapon. This is 5" barrel model. If you are fortunate enough to have one of these, please tell me if you are having any problems removing/replacing the slide? I've requested advise from my unit armorer and was surprised when he also had difficulty removing the slide or reassembling the slide to the gun. Also, to my surprise, the spring rod had a problem with 1/3rd of the large-end was broke off. I think, the major problem is centered around the take down lever catching the slide stop notch keeping me from removing/replacing the slide. Has this happen to you????????????

I have a couple of 5" Pro's in 9mm.. the only issue I have is sometimes the take down lever doesn't want to stay down. I just hold it down as I take the slide off. Also, I would get a replacement guide rod/spring assembly if it's broken.
