Is there anything else you have to do to use a S&W M&P 40 as a 9mm?

It is my understanding that if you are using the 40 to 9 conversion it is "drop in".

After being on backorder for a year and one week, I received a replacement Smith & Wesson 9mm barrel a week ago. It drops in my my M&P 40 perfectly and with a 9mm magazine, cycled what little 9mm ball I've had a chance to shoot so far. I've read you can use a 40 magazine, but the 9mm magazines help with feeding the last couple rounds. So far so good and it was quite a bit less expensive than a Storm Lake barrel, but it took over a year to get too.
