Funny, when I obtained my Bodyguard from the shop I jus took it out and ran a box of ammo through it....I thought that is what it is for. Nice shooting for a little critter.

I am thinking about the BG380 but I do not like the way it feels in my hand. I was holding a Glock 42 and it feels better in my hand. I am going to fire them both before I even think of trying to figure out what I am going to thing using as a BUG. Come to think about it, I am not sure if I even need a BUG, my J-frame would be just fine for that.

If I'd have gotten my Ruger LCR first, I'd have had no need for the BG380, as the Ruger is a perfect BUG. That having been said, the BG is a sweet shooting gun.

I have had my M&P BG now for about 5 months. I really enjoy carrying this gun. Slim, small. Perfect. Shooting it at the range wasn't what this was designed for. However, I think it's a good shooting pistol. Had a Seecamp that this replaced and I haven't looked back once.

Mine has literally been flawless. Have over a couple hundred rounds through without any single issue at all. Just perfect. Very happy with this gun.

I have carried a Bodyguard and spare mag everyday during working hours the last 8 months. Working maintenance I can not carry any thing bigger with all my tools. The rest of the time I carry a M&P 45C with an extra ten round mag as well as the Bodyguard for back up. I like the way the Bodyguard shoots. Run about 50 rounds a month through it.

Thanks for all the replies.

The first BG had some issues, I ended up getting another under warranty from Davidsons, they are a great distributor with great customer support.

I cleaned up the gun and lubed it before shooting. The second one I got was damn accurate and not one issue. Although I only ran 50 rounds of FMJ [no issues] and 5 rounds of Hornady... needless to say Hornady didnt have any issues, truly great ammo and all I trust when I carry.

Literally the only thing I didn't like was that the trigger was not predictable enough before reaching the wall of the breaking point. I polished the contact points with 1000 grit and the trigger pull is way smoother and breaking point is easily felt. While I had the internals apart I polished the bottom of the plastic mag retainer and now mags are smooth as butter to insert and reliably held when inserted.

People can say what they want but this is a fantastic gun. All the gun snobs out there stating that this is a gimmick and something aimed at selling to women or people who don't know better, I politely disagree.
