that is negative on the reset, there basically isn't any, It has not been a problem for me shooting competitively. I can see for someone that does not have a lot of trigger time it may cause them issues especially in some of the speed shooting disciplines. That being said I have seen many new shooters come through our steel challenge matches many shooting stock M&P's in 9 and 40 and none seem to have an issue with the trigger reset.
Actually starting to see more M&P's then glocks, and a couple guys have switched over to M&P's that were predominately glock guys. More than anything the number one item cited is ergonomics, and the gal's certainly seem to prefer the M&P's because of it.
There are a couple guys you will never pry there gen 3 glock 17's out of their hands, and probably for good reason they shoot them pretty darn good. More and more going M&P each year though.
