Any opinions from experience which either of the two here? The American seem to have the same technology with the trinium, yet at a much better price.

Also how do these compare to something like a HiViz in outdoor shooting? I have a HiViz on my one gun and love it outdoors but indoors, not so much.

I have the Trijicon HDs on my 45C and I absolutely love those sights!!! They are very sturdy and look great! I have no experience with the Ameriglo sights but I don't think you can go wrong with Trijicon.

I've got both Trijicon and Ameriglo... Funny thing is the Ameriglo use Trijicon tritium. The actual Trijicon sights seem to have a better machining job and finish; my Ameriglos rusted on my Shield.

I've got Ameriglo " i dot " on my full size, going on 4 months now, the gun gets carried almost daily in a Galco Avenger holster-no signs of wear, been through a couple classes and all my range sessions are all drills from the holster.

These sights work great for me. The orange front is extremely visible in everything from ambient indoor to bright outdoor light. The dots are very bright in low/no light. Couldn't be happier.

I use a Novak front night sight on my 1911 (Trijicon does the dot). Also a great sight but I prefer the Ameriglo. I've had Trijicons on Glock & Sigs I've owned in the past (they were the only option then), the Ameriglo is really a great sight, fast pick up in any light. $104 installed at my local shop.

I've got some trijicons on mp9c and ameriglos and shield. I prefer the ameriglos. They are a bit cheaper and more readily available, and the quality is still good. I'll have to post a pic in the morning.

I have had the Ameriglo Pro I Dot with U rear sight and Orange front sight on my 9c for almost a year. Love them since putting them on my groupings are tighter and am able to acquire the target quicker in from the holster shooting. Very durable for daily carry. Cant speak for the Trijicon. Purchased the Pro I Dot's because I liked the design better than anything else that was offered. Price didn't really concern me at the time. Just an added bonus that they were less expensive.

And that is where the price difference comes into play.

There are some models of Ameriglo that are more expensive than trijicons, so that statement doesn't make too much sense. I'd point the finger at installation of said sights and or the condition the gun was kept in / possible cleaning habits or lack thereof.

The Ameriglos that I have on my Shield ran me about 10 more bucks than the Trij's I have on my 9c.

Do you know if any of these sights(or white dot) are available for the M&P Bodyguard? Since the size of the gun is so small I haven't seen any but the black stock sights are hard to pick up in any light.

Seems like there isn't really much out there. I know you can go with XS big dot sights, that has tritium in the big golf ball of a front sight. I couldn't get those sights to work for me (I'm better with notch and post), but with the bodyguard, you're going to be pretty close to the target anyway, so it may work great.

Otherwise you could get some bright neon nailpolish or paint and paint some dots on your stock sights.

I have Ameriglo front sights on a Sig 238 and a Sig 938. I find them faster to pickup with my eyes than the Trijicons under all light conditions. I like the way that they contrast with the trijicon inserts on the rear sights.

I generally don't like fiber optic sights, but these work for me.
