I got a ultrasonic for brass cleaning, it was too slow so now I use it for occasional cleaning of other things. I don't use it much on the pistol because I won't use it on the lower because I can't get the water out of the nooks and crevices. I'll use it occasionally on the slide and barrel, but not very often. What I do use it for is magazines, mine get filthy, I take them apart and put the pieces in the cleaner and run it for 45 minutes, rinse them off and blow the water out with compressed air. I use Hornady's metal solution concentrate but imagine dish soap would probably work just as well.
