Default M&P Pro Performance Center trigger vs Apex

Any suggestions? I've never shot the Apex trigger. Would it still be an upgrade over the Performance Center package?
• Enhanced Trigger and Performance Center Sear

Thanks.

I have 2 5" Pros and a CORE (plus 2 9c's) I have put the Apex FSS kits in all 3 of our 5" M&P's. They improved the stock trigger 1,000% in my opinion.

out of curiosity, is the improvement you've seen in the accuracy, more on the feel and confidence while shooting, or perhaps a combination of those?

I know my 9c's trigger is what it is but i am fine with leaving it stock as i do pretty well with it. But as i consider adding a fs 9, that's where i will be researching to see what if anything i'd like to do for mods on that piece.

thx!

I had the PC sear in my 9C for awhile along with the H stamped slide lock. It was really hard to tell the difference, but the reset with the APEX sear was shorter. There was little difference otherwise in either feel or in the sound of the reset. The PC sear is pretty good stuff. But, IMHO, the APEX has a better finish and there is no question on the reset. But it sure took awhile to decide.

I put the FSS in my 40c and the result was hardly any takeup and very little overtravel. Comes close to a 1911 trigger feel. I have the DCAEK in my 9c and 45c and it smooths out the trigger and makes the pull around 5lbs but doesn't change much in the takeup or overtravel at all.
Depends on what you're looking for.
I could care less about hearing or feeling the reset.

Ranger,
I would say that by default, that yes, it improves the accuracy of the guns. You are not fighting the trigger to make it go boom. No longer pulling, and pulling, and wondering is it ever going to go off and then you yank the trigger to just get it over with. The trigger feels more like a decent/good trigger should feel like. Of course your confidence goes up when you actually hit what you are aiming at instead of yanking/jerking the trigger and pulling the shot.
Everyone who feels the triggers on our Apex guns can't believe how great they feel. Crisp break, no take up (with the FSS kit). On our carry guns I put the Apex DCAEK kits in and also an Apex polymer trigger. The trigger reduces the pre travel by about 30%. I put the triggers in because I do not like how the stock trigger physically feels. Hope this helps.

Yes that does help, thanks for the feedback. I've noticed of course the difference between shooting my Buckmark (and even my old Colt Challenger) then switching to the 9c in how their triggers operate. I think i've "adapted" pretty well to how the compact trigger feels but yes there are times when i think about it and that's when i notice the travel, etc.... I've put 1k+ rounds thru it as is, just will have to decide if i keep this one stock and possibly modify a fs9, or use this as a test mule for trigger mods.
thanks again!
