Default Question for Other Shield Owners

Quick question. Is the little lever that you flip down to disassemble the pistol if you don't want to pull the trigger supposed to be painted yellow?

I was cleaning my Shield today and found little yellow bead looking things scattered about the interior. I have just started using a different cleaner and think it may be paint that was stripped from this lever because it is bare metal now. I just can't remember for sure if it was painted in the first place.

Thanks. I was worried at first that some weird bug had laid eggs in my gun, and that got really worrisome since that gun is inside my pants every day. Then I thought about the paint thing. I had always used Ballistol on it but just started using M-Pro 7. Guess I should be careful around sights and such with that stuff.

Thanks again.
