Has anyone had success removing their thumb safety from their M&P 22 compact? I've seen the process for the full size but not my model. I really don't want to start pushing out pins until I know that the job is doable. Thanks for any advice!

You only have to pop one pin out, call S&W, they will send you FREE plugs!

I suppose the question is why? If you don’t like the safety, just don’t use it.
It’s not a big deal to me, I’m used to my Glock, so I just ignore the thumb safety.

Before removing the safety on a M&P 22, you need to understand that the pistol has an internal hammer and is single action instead of being striker fired. If you cut off the safety, you will have a pistol that is effectively cocked and unlocked. Probably no big deal at a range, but.............

There is a reason that pistol is not sold without a thumb safety.
