I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by the accuracy. Nice choice.

Petepeterson, that's the name I tell my kids I was going to name them. Pete and Repete. (Same last name). Momma said no.

Off topic question, but what sights do you have on that Glock 34?

This is what really stood out to me when I bought my Shield about a year ago. I liked it so much, I just recently bought a full size M&P 9. Smith has a great line of pistols here.

Welcome to the Shield Club, I think you've made a great choice. And thanks for the pictures, never get tired of gun porn.

Congrats on the new Shield.
Lots of people changing from FS (or even Compacts) to the Subcompact Shield have initial issues with shooting Left, or Low/Left. If this happens to you, it's a simple matter of readjusting how you're used to gripping the pistol (since it's smaller and slimmer) and (possibly) using a different part of your trigger finger than you're used to (due to the shorter trigger-to-backstrap distance and again... being slimmer than your larger pistols)
For me, when I was shooting left, I needed to change from using the center pad of my trigger finger, to using the 1st knuckle crease in order to achieve a straight rearward trigger press. Others changed from using the first crease to center pad. All hands are different, so there's no one perfect trigger finger placement.

They are Dawson Precision Comp. sights, .250 tall I believe. They are ridiculously easy to shoot well with.
Thanks for all of the support guys! I'd love to see some more EDC setups.

Has anyone replaced the sights on their Shield? I really want to get a set of tritium night sights, looking specifically at the Trijicon HD Night Sights.
Does anyone have these? If so, what do you think of the "U" shaped rear sight? They are $185 on the Trijicon website which is steep, but well worth it in my opinion.
Any other good options out there? I haven't done a ton of research so please enlighten me!

I have the XS big dot on one and Ameriglo i-dot with orange front insert on the other. I prefer the Ameriglo. Have not tried the trijicon though.

I put the Ameriglo Pro-i-Dot's on miy Shield. I really like them and they're marked "Trijicon" on the sights. I put the SW-345 sights that have the "U" shaped rear sight, and the front sight has a limegreen luminescent ring around the front sights tritium vial. They also have one with a orange outline. Nice sights, very visible and easy to obtain a sight picture. I think I paid about $100.

The HD's are great also the Ameriglos are very similar both put your eye firmly on the front sight which gives very fast focus. You don't notice the "U" in practice.
