Need help.... info on part.....

The pin/spring under the sear..... when it comes out (really, really hard to get back in) does the milled down end of the pin go into the spring and the thicker part go up towards the bottom of the sear? That is how I put it back in, but I just want to make sure that is right.... trigger feels "funny" now or is that my mind playing games with my assembly skills??
