Default Paddle holster recommendations for a Shield?

I've got the IWB and belt holsters covered, but am now thinking I want to try a paddle holster for my Shield 9mm.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Safariland.com has several with paddle attachment. Safariland is top-notch equipment, most law enforcement use Safariland.

If you are looking for kydex, try G-Code or Omega. I have a couple of each and like them both. You can use a G-Code belt fitting on either one, also.

I have had a couple of paddle holsters over the years and the issue for me is that they tend to stick out a little wider than one attached to the belt. They also are not as secure and can come off if pulled on.

Both of the ones I had were Galco but I checked and they don't make one for the Shield. You might try using google to punch in "Images of S&W Shield Paddle Holster" and see what pops up. I did that and it put up images of some and then if you click on the link with the picture you can see who makes what that may look good for you.

If you are looking for easy on and easy off might look at something with snap style belt loops that you can unsnap and take the holster off.

Good luck.

Default Try Comp-Tac

The one thing you should consider is the information about the paddle holsters not being so secure by the one poster.
Comp-Tac makes an excellent paddle holster for the Shield. Pricey but all Comp-tac holsters are quality.
The poster mentioned the kind of holster with belt loops instead of the paddle type. Good advise.
Comp-Tac makes one __the Minotaur Gladiator. I have one and its
the fastest on and off holster I have. It answers__most of the time as a good CC one___better than a paddle holster although,
Comp-Tac does make one of the best paddle holsters too.
They have great customer service. Their toll free number gets you some really great service and the lady answers your questions.
If you buy one of their holsters, and see right on it's not for you you can return it to them no questions asked.
The one thing about the Gladiator is you can't switch holster
shells (about $38) for other guns.

If looking for an active retention holster, the Sepra CQC works well.
It comes with both belt and paddle mods and the paddle setup has secondary hooks that grab your belt and keep it from pulling loose.

The release pad is very smooth to activate and one would need to really work at inadvertantly getting their finger into the trigger guard (as people sometimes did with older CQC rigs).

If you don't like the Active Retention style, they do also make the sportster passive retention version.

I don't have one for my shield but I have a fobus for my 40 ruger and it's really comfortable. Not easily concealed though.
