Took the new Shield 40 to the indoor range and ran 112 reloads through it. It ran like a sewing machine. I am having a little problem getting use to the heavy trigger and am grouping 2" left of the center at 10yds but that is just a trigger thing. After handing the gun to the range manager and a full 7 round mag he cut the center out of the target so I buckled down and after 50 or so round was able to put 4 out of 5 in the 2" bull with the 5th one touching it. 1 1/2" group. This didn't happen very often but I can get there. It is hard because my other three M&P have trigger mods or very smooth triggers. I love the little gun the loads were petty hot and it did hurt the hand a few times. Just so I knew what a real gun felt like a freind there let my shoot his M&P 500 Mag. Don

That's great! I had similar results on my .40's maiden voyage last week. I too have some trigger pull practice ahead. Keep shootin!

Congrats on the new Shield 40. More trigger time will smooth her right out. One of the easiest most cost effective ways to do that is dry firing.
If you can't get to the range, or are watching your $, safety check your gun, put your live ammo in another room, and have at it. Before you know it, she'll be good and broke in.

Oh ya, dry firing is something I do a lot. I have a laser target and shoot it a lot. Saves ammo and I can still see if I am grouping or pulling shots. I go to the indoor range 4 or 5 days a week but don't shoot a lot of rounds each day like you all that just get to go every now and then. I also try to rotate between my 7 different guns I shoot. At least 4 are M&Ps so they shoot about the same. Don
