Default Hogue Handall?

I just saw one of these in Bass Pro Shops. Look like they replace the backstrap?

Anyone use these? What size is the grip...Medium?

Got a pic, or web link? I don't see any back straps on their website.
For the M&P, I'm only familiar with their Slip-on Grip Sleeves.
Which size would be dependent on which pistol you're going to use it on.
FS and Compacts, use the Regular. The Shield would use the 'Jr'.

I know the handall jr. fits Kahr CW series & Bersa thunder pistols perfectly, most likely the Shield as well.

Looking at the Hogue web site, it looks like a grip sleeve that slips over the entire grip. My hands aren't so big I need something like that, Talon grips provide all the traction I could ask for.

I have the Hogue Handall on my FS 9. Love it. I am sorry I cannot help ypu on the size but it does replace the back strap. I have smallish hands and love the finger grooves.

Hogue Inc.
Window cleaner and heat the grip with a hair dryer. You can see the guy in the video struggling with get it on, it is a PIA but well worth it.

I dropped my Handall in a bowl of boiling hot water and let it soak for a few min so it would be pliable enough to get over the grip of my CW40. It helped although I still cussed getting it on, but once its on it wont slide around on you like the pachmayrs do.

The 'Hybrid looks like a cool option. Definitely cures the 'slip' problem that some have reported in the past with the 'regular' handall.

What's supposed to be so great about this? Or so beneficial?

Why would someone give up their options to change backstraps in favor of the Handall that's only one size? One size does not fit all.

If it works for you, that's great, but seriously...I don't get it.

I think the idea is to add a rubberized grip that isn't a decal like Talon (which I like as well)

I don't think you are giving up options to change as if you used a medium backstrap and this Hogue is medium, it is same size just with added grooves and rubberized.

Looks interesting, may give it a shot. Will put it on my VTAC 9.....

I'm getting it mostly for the finger grooves, which is what I used for the majority of my police career. The hybrid model appeals to me more because it won't shift like a simple sleeve.

Just got it in the mail today......unbelievable, it was an open package, likely returned and sold again.

I haven't installed it yet, maybe tomorrow. But it for sure has been "used"...... I'll post some pics later.

Here's a pic of the packaging as I removed it from the box, obviously cut wide open. And another pic of the inside bottom of the grip, all gouged up on the tab where someone would have used a "tool" of some kind to remove the grip.

I'm going to install the grip anyway, as the outside of it appears fine, and no one will see the inside and despite the gouges, structurally it seems to be sound.

I've ordered several trips from Hogue over the years, and never have I been sold a used item until this most recent purchase.

When I bought my pistol, I went into the store figuring I would end up with a Glock but I wanted to look at other brands also. I found I didn't like the grips with finger groves because none of them fit my hand. Several had a texture on the backstrap that was uncomfortable for me to grip. One of the last guns I held was the M&P9 and it just fit my hand. I am sure the Hogue grips are exactly what many of you have been looking for but one of the reasons I bought my gun was because it felt so good in my hand. If the Hogue grip makes your shooting experience better then by all means get one, and they are inexpensive, but personally I just don't see changing one of the things that drew me to the M&P to start with.

Well, the M&P is my issued sidearm, so I didn't necessarily choose it. That being said, with the factory grip, it is the most ergonomic and comfortable pistol (grip wise) I've ever shot.

Although I haven't shot it with these new grips, I did get them installed several minutes ago. They are comfortable and fill the palm well. The palm swell is more in the center of the grip compared to more rearward with the factory insert.

I can't say right now which is more comfortable, but each is very comfortable and fit my hand well, just in slightly different ways. If I don't like the way is shoots, they will come off and the factory insert will go back in.

One cosmetic issue is slight gapping at the top due to flex of the grip when handled. I can deal with the gap as long as the skin at the web of my hand doesn't get pinched during shooting. If that happens, I'll cut them off and put the factory insert back on.

I took some measurements before and after in case anyone was interested. Grip width was measured at the widest part of the palm swell. I'll report back after shooting it.

I was at Cabelas today and they had one left. For 9.99 I'll try it. Just put it on my VTAC 9. It wasn't too bad to do. Just took some wiggling.

I haven't shot this gun in awhile as my attention has been on my HK VP9 and P30SK lately. It feels a lot bigger in my hand but not bad. I'm used to the small grips but like how this fills out.

I'm looking at the VP9 as my first privately owned 9mm.

You'll really like the trigger on the VP9 I think

I've handled a display model a few times, the trigger is definitely sweet.

100 rounds with the Handall Hybrid.....no problems, no pinching or slipping. Could be the best $11 I've ever spent on any pistol.

Just bought one tonight at Cabelas for 9.99. Feels great in the hand and the finger grooves match my hand perfectly. It would be nice if it was a just a little thinner, but we'll see how it is at the range.

I think backstraps for the 9/40/357 also fit the 45, but the description on Hogue says 9/40/357 models ONLY.

Anyone have one of these grips, an M&P45, and can see what the problem is?

I thought the .45 is a tad wider?
