Default Pretty Happy with Big Dots on M&P Shield 9

Second trip to the range with my new sights. Shot this at 7 yrds (rapid fire). 20 rounds...3" grouping. Pretty Happy with that I think.

Installed Big Dots on my Shield a few weeks ago. I'm really loving them. Been shooting steel plates... makes it easy to get on target and get quick hits on the plates. Nice shooting there Dkin

May I ask, if the big dot sight was installed by a gunsmith or DIY? Thanks.

These guys will install them for free if you buy the sights from them: XS Big Dot for Smith & Wesson M&P Shield

They do great work.

Be careful taking your gun to a gunsmith. Some bang the heck out of the slide. Without a proper sight tool, it is very difficult, but it can be done.

I installed mine myself. used a brass punch to remove the originals.... they were in pretty tight. just be careful, work slow and protect the slide with tape. wasn't too hard of a job. I'm sure a quality sight pusher would make it much easier.

Thank you for All your replies. I bought the Big Dot sight like 9 months ago and also sights tool and brass puncher set. I just need to give it a try one of these days. Hope I don't loses any springs along the process.

You can do it inside of a plastic bag to catch the spring.
