Default Techna Clip on another gun?

I see that they're a few months out from a Shield model. Has anyone tried one on a BodyGuard, Glock, SIG, etc?

I thought about the Clip Draw, but a taped on system doesn't seem quite right for what I want (however you CAN vary the depth of carry).

I have a similar clip on my Kel Tec .32 that I carry when I run and exercise, and it does a nice job keeping everything below the belt line and secure. Just wondering how well this system may do with a much heavier and bulkier weapon.

I purchased a new Bodyguard last December for my wife. She wanted the Techna clip also which we purchased from our LGS and had him install it. It seems to be designed well, attaches to the frame via one of the frame pins which is replaced by the Techna clip pin. I can't speak for anything larger than the Bodyguard.

Did they use "thread locker" on the pin/screw? I did on my KelTec, but I don't see anything on the website.

The 3M tape system used with the ClipDraw is surprisingly good.
I have a few friends that have used it on their Glock, XD and Snubbies for quite a while without needing to redo the tape.

I used the KT Belt Clip on my PF-9 for a while, but ended up taking it off after 6 Months, so I never really considered the ClipDraw for my Shield... But for 25 Bucks, it's not a bad experiment, until Techna-Clip gets around to doing one.

Yes, I watched our LGS and saw him put some blue lock-tite on the screw threads. I do remember that!

It's just one opinion:

A carry "system" which leaves the trigger and magazine
release exposed; including pocket carry...

Could result in bad ju-ju

Now if you add a Kydex guard...
that's a different story

OK, I'll admit I've never seen this type of "holster" with the purse strings attached. How does this work? Advantages? The whole thing is Greek to me, but then I usually carry Mexican, IWB, spring clip or front pocket (walking the dogs at night so not long duration carry).

So, there are many ways one could use this, but...

The idea is to keep the trigger covered
so there is nothing which could catch on/activate/engage and cause a negligent discharge in absence of the more traditional "full holster"...

and/or if the magazine release were to be inadvently pushed
or bumped and release the magazine leaving at best one round in the chamber and no follow up shot opportunity (worst case is the pistol has a magazine safety and you have no shot available)

the "purse strings" or tassel as I prefer is optional. One can lengthin, shorten or omit...

It's even possible to "pin" a shortened tassel to the inside of a
pocket so the kydex kover is pulled free on the draw

While I see the merits to "naked carry"
I prefer an IWB appendix carry holster like my
Theis Single Clip leather kydex hybrid for its minimalist
design with combat coverage; but to each their own...

Default So evidently the Techna Clip is now available for the Shield

I received an email press release, but dated August 11th.

Attaches in place of the rear slide plate (so there go all of the plates with American Flags, "Don't Tread on Me", and "Molon Labe").
