Bodyguard sight question
Has anyone come up with a way to adjust the sights on the Bodyguard? They say they are adjustable but the only thing I've found adjustable is the grip on my hammer while I'm swinging like a mad man and ruining brass punches like they are toothpicks. And now my slide has some really cool brass colored marks on it and the sights are in the same place they were when I started swinging. The gun is only three days old so I'm sure I could just send it in to S&W and let them handle it but not only do I hate to have to send a brand new gun back to the manufacturer but it just ain't natural for me to admit defeat until I have done enough damage to cost a substantial amount of financial hardship.

Fronts easier to move back took allitttle heat from heat gun also beleive a steel punch. Also helps have a bfh. my brass took a beating at first. Freezing may work also and hitting both side of sights to break it loose.
Trigger pull may be why your off mine came very close from factory and hit poa out to 25 ft with almost everything I've shot. The stock trigger is heavy but predictable. Have 600+. Rounds through it after so many rounds you feel right before it goes off and use that moment to line everything up precisely. If you use snap caps watch the slight dip to the left when trigger is pulled it feels so deep into The palm my muscle accually was moving the pistol a bit. Took many pulls to get it better and really have to pancake the pistol in the palms.

Why do you need to move the sights? Did you benchrest the gun? If not, do so before moving the sights.
If the sights are indeed off have a professional do it. If they are any good they will have a sight pusher. After you benchrest the gun take the gun and target with you to the gunsmith. Shouldn't cost too much. Well worth the hassle of shipping a gun.

Universal sight pusher. The right way. A gunsmith will have one, or you can too for ~$125. I stopped ruining pistol sights and slides with punches when I got mine--especially the SUPER tight S&W sights. Punches should work in theory, but they don't. Sight pushers always work, both off and on with no damage.

This costs a lot less than $125 and moves front and rear sights on most guns very easily.

Good link at $65-80 depending on style for a sight pusher. Thanks.

Before attempting to adjust the sights, why dont you continue to get more practice shooting the pistol?
Is this your first handgun?
What distance are you shooting at?
What is the intended purpose of your BG380?
Is it your EDC? a backup? because a target pistol it is not... It is intended to be a up close & dirty defensive pistol with shots within 3-5 yards tops...
If you were expecting anything more then you will be disappointed.

As CaptRon956 said, "Get more practice shooting the pistol."
It is not meant to be a target pistol. The iron sights are adequate for 5-7 yds. The laser is a joke. Maybe a good selling point for S&W and the uneducated public, but is more of a nuisance than an asset. Mine kept eating up batteries and I could not get it to come on every time I wanted to test it! I finally removed the button cell battery and use it without laser aid.

You didn't buy a target gun and if it hits a couple inches off POA at 5yds so be it you don't need to shoot the buttons of the scumbags shirt. If you are having to shoot SD at that distance I really don't think you are going to have the time and presents of mind to align the sights prefect take a deep breath and let it out, squeeze the trigger. Just shoot. Now if you want to shoot him across the street buy a different gun and be ready to explain why you had to shoot him so far away. Don

Mine shoots right on at 25-35 feet. Only have 70 rounds through it so far. I totally agree that the laser is stupid, which is why I got mine without. I heard you can use white finger nail polish on the front sight and people are having great luck with that.
