Looking for a front sight for my shield. On my MP22 the front sight has two set screws to hold/adjust. The sights for the Shield all appear to need a special tool to install. Or am I missing something. Suggestions? Thanks John
It is removed with a sight pusher or a brass drift punch. If the gun was pointed downrange, from left to right.
Some are very hard to remove and reinstall. If you have a option, use the correct sight pusher.

I'm replacing mine with ATS Firefly. Rear came out with moderate persuasion.
I pounded on the front with a punch and hammer. Heated the slide with a hair dryer until I couldn't touch the steel, then iced the sight, no luck.
Took it to my Smith this morning. Two firm raps with his hammer of Thor and an aluminum punch and he's handing me the sight. A question of leverage and force he says, and the right vice and hammer.
He's so intrigued by the Firefly that he demurred charging me if I let him try the sights out after bore sighting. What a deal!
