Thumbs up stoked on my new m&p 9 fs

Literally straight out of the box at 25'. Not too shabby for a newer shooter. I think this is the beginning of something good!

Just felt like sharing, I'm pretty stoked.

My FS9 was my first striker. All my handguns before had hammers (even one of my long guns).

I have a 9C and Shield 9 too.

Welcome to the forum!!

I am a 1911 fan, but I do carry a 9C all along. Really good for high round count classes carrying a couple of full size mags.

Nice, I was wanting a Pro Series and could only find a used 40 pro so I am now in the process of getting a conversion 9mm barrel for it. I like the 9mm better than the 40. Congratulations on you're new M&P nice shooting.

Oh my gosh! We found another shooter that is doing well with a fully functional non problematic M&P! Congratulations and enjoy. It's a great pistol for what it is.

My M&P 9 FS is a boring unexciting pistol.
Shoots accurately. Digest any kind of commercial ammunition.
I have ten magazines for it.

Thanks folks - My 1st pistol was a Glock 23 - perfect duty pistol, but I'm 100% civilian, & the .40 and a polymer frame was harsh.

This is my return to the semi-auto poly frame but in 9mm after converting to Revolverism (I have seen the light, bothers & sisters!), and I'm pleased.

They did an Apex trigger job right there at the store before even bringing it home. Fellow Mass guys - just get it done for your shield or M&P. Our ridiculous 10lb MA trigger is absurd, not to mention the $90 it costs to have a pro do it (worth every penny, not a DIY for a freshie like me). It's important to have a semi auto 9mm with a light for home and/or vehicle, plus I like striker fire.

The revolvers a GP100 and a S4W 617, both with 4" barrels - steel is real! Thanks again!

Congratulations, Dash! I think you're going to like the M&P a lot. And good going getting the Apex in there from the start. It turns a good gun into a great gun.

I agree. It's not really a target pistol, per say, though you can certainly shoot up targets with it. But for a bull's-eye gun your wheel guns or a 1911 would be a better choice. But when things go bump in the night, wrapping your hand around that M&P can give you about as warm and fuzzy a feeling as any handgun out there.
