Current Shield Prices
Just curious to what prices are around the country and comparing to what I'm seeing. Best I've found in my area is $350 (safety or none) before taxes. Problem is, the county of the store has 10% sales tax. Trying to decide on if I should pick one up for that price or not! I will admit, it would be nice to have a slim carry on days the M&P9c is feeling large.

$350 is about the high end that I'm seeing in my area right now. If you can remember back when they first hit the market I saw them going for $600 to $700 and flying off the shelves. Aren't you glad you waited? I ended up buying one of those $600 dollar ones for $300 after the hysteria died down. Needless to say the guy was a little more than embarrassed and admitted he had rushed to get one.

I bought mine back in January of this year for $400 OTD. At the time that was the best price I could find locally. Two weeks ago I saw quite a few at a local gun show marked $329 + tax and several marked $350 OTD. This is in the central NC area.
There are times where the Shield is definitely a little easier to carry than the compact plus it's a great little gun to own and shoot.

The Bud's price above is the best I've seen. Another on-line vendor had them for $319 a week or so ago. Maybe just the market getting saturated, or could be Glock 43 market pressure.
All I know is I paid a lot more than the above for a couple, a few years ago.

Agree on the comments regarding Bud's. I just bought a second Shield 9, paid $349+tax and that included a third mag (8 rd).

Since the FFL's here are $25 for a transfer, might as well buy directly from the LGS I guess.

If you have a good relationship with the shop then the $15+- might not be a big deal down the road. Otherwise order it from Bud's, then buy a box of ammo at the shop when you pick it up.

I paid $407 for mine back in early July, then I waited six weeks for a new recoil spring...but I have to admit I really love this gun.

I just picked up a Shield 9 no safety at a local SW FLorida gun show for $400. I did see some for $350 but they were from Pawn dealers that would not take a trade in.
