M&P Shield Grips
I am looking for information on the ability to add a grip to my Shield 40. The problem is that I have the CT Laserguard. Has anyone found success in adding a grip? Thank you in advance.

Have you looked at Talon Grips? You probably could remove the grip tape at the top of the front strap where it would come in contact with the laserguard.

I also have a Shield 40 with the CT.
I just called Talon Grips ((970) 879-9600) and they confirmed that their grip will work fine with the CT.
He said to just removed the CT first, then apply the Talon Grip. He said the TG is so thin that the CT piece will fit perfectly.

If you take your time and follow the instructions for cleaning, prepping and applying the grips you will have no problems with the Talon grips adhering.[/COLOR]

Has anyone used the Pachmayr rubber grip #05179 designed for the M&P Shield? and if so, how well does it fit, feel?
What is the overall opinion of this grip glove?

+1 on Talon grip. I have it on my sheild as does my son and 2 friends. We all shoot ours regularly and carry them without any issue peeling or coming off.
Excellent product.

Did you add the Talon Grips yourself? I am considering adding these to my M&P 9 Shield.

I Just went and tried out my Hogue Handall Jr. grips and really LIKE them, even though I have small hands the slight swells on each side were just what I needed.

Don't waste the money on a Pachmayr. They do not stay in place. They slide around and require constant adjustment. I have thought about cleaning the grip with alcohol and then using some rubber cement to attach the Pachmayr however I have a feeling the only way to get it off would to be cut it and it would leave a mess to clean up.

I just bought some CDS Tactical grips for my Shield. They are basically Talon knock offs that are a few dollars cheaper. The guy told me they are made from the same exact material as Talons. They have a 1 year warranty and are made in Keene, NH. I haven't had a chance to put them on yet.

Yes I did mine with two pistols. They are easy and adhere terrifically if you follow the directions. There are some YouTube videos on the process.

I have the Talon grips on my LC9S and love them! I've had a few LEO's at my club try my gun with them and they've added them to there personal/backup guns. I've never had them lift while cleaning, and I use compressed air to blow all parts of my guns off while cleaning.

Talon grips here too!!!
If they do start peeling, apply a small amount of 3M Hi-Strength 90 Spray Adhesive....spray onto paper or cardboard, then use a toothpick or something small to dab it on. Works great!!

Talon grips on my 9mm. Great grips. With proper grip preparation before install, they shouldn't peel.

Fits fine and feels great, but it just added too much thickness to the grip. I figured that if I wanted a thicker grip then I would have gotten the 9c instead. I ended up going with the Talon rubber grip and I really like it. Inexpensive, easy to install, and provides a much better grip.
