Another new shield owner
Hi folks, recently purchased a shield 9, my LEO friend took me to the range and I tried a few different guns, decided to go with the shield 9, I will be cc'ing this once my LTCFA arrives (any day now...). I am planning on taking an NRA safety course in Jan and will have a few sessions at the range between now and then. So far I have been reading lots and learning all I can. Just wanted to say hi.

Congrats on the new Shield. I've had mine almost a year and about 1500 trouble free rounds. This is a great little gun and perfect for CC.

I CC mine everyday and have for a few years. I can get mine in the front pocket of Wrangler Khaki cargo pants from Walmart in a DeSantis Superfly holster or it carries in the waist band fine too. It has never failed me at the range. Congrats and welcome!

Welcome from Florida. Lots of Shield love on this forum, and for good reason. You've chosen well!

Welcome aboard! It hasn't been said yet but get an Uplula mag loader and Talon grip tape. They make a huge difference.
Enjoy the Shield.

That may be the first one that you buy but there will be more! Just one holster is never enough

I've had mine two months and love it. The Uplula is a good idea and I just put on the Talon grips and I'm taking it to the range tomorrow.

Anyone know if the cloak 3.0 is still on back order for our guns? I am should have my license in the mail any day now and of course I'll want to carry as soon as it arrives.
Went to the range tonight, 1st time doing so by myself, was kinda nervous but settled down pretty quick. Shot 50 rounds with 1 misfire which I believe is because I probably held onto the slide a second too long instead of just letting it fly. Now to clean... (will be watching how to vids)
