Default M&P Performance Center Ported?

I'm thinking about getting a 5 inch performance center ported and curious to hear peoples' experience. How is accuracy compared to other models? Is it worth getting the ported with threaded barrel from the factory or just add a fitted threaded barrel later if I plan to use a suppressor?

Any other thoughts appreciated.

Hey, I just got a PC 9L. Its a nice shooter. If I lived in a state where I could put a supressor on it I wouldve got the threaded barrel.

I got my full-size a couple of weeks ago. I've found it to be very accurate and a pleasure to shoot. I'm sure you'll enjoy shooting it.

Accuracy wise coming from a 1911 shooter I was initially frustrated by both my PC 5in, and PC CORE ported 5in. After a lot of load work I was able to get both to consistently shoot 2in's at 20 yards off a bag rest.

Unlike my 1911's that seem to group just about anything much better than that my M&P's are particular if you want them to shoot a decent group. Function wise they will eat anything. A 2in group I can work with, larger than that and it could start to impact your score is my take on it especially on 12in plates at 20 yards when you are really moving.

good luck

I recently purchased M&P40 PC CORE and Ported 5 inch. Excellent pistol and I couldn't be happier with it's performance at the range.
