I just installed the apex trigger kit on my gun and got everything in with no issues other than removing the rear sight for the striker block. I was having issues as I see everyone has removing it and decided before I screw it up to take it to my LGS. I slightly scratched the rear sight and that was when I decided to call it quits before I actually screw it up
I took it to the shop and the guy goes on and on about how much i screwed it up and that I was hitting it the wrong way. I said no its left to right towards the ejection port. He said every model is different this one is right to left. I insisted I was right and he said well regardless im gonna have to press it out right to left because you have bent this up so much. That should have been my que to take it elsewhere. I said screw it he'll see its not an issue when he takes it off.
Fastforward 2 days and I got an Amazon gift card and decided after some research that the truglo tfo's were for me. I called the shop to tell them to hold offand wait for me to get the tfo's in. I got the same guy and he asks what kind I got because some require grinding. I told him and he replies oh yea they are cheap for a reason those are gonna require quite a bit of grinding to get them to fit right but yea bring em in and ill do it.
In all the research ive done I havent heard of one issue installing these other than you cant beat them with a hammer. Am I missing something or am I right in thinking this guy is gonna try and charge an arm and a leg anf justify it. He quoted me that there was a standard $35 bench fee barring any setbacks.
