Default Finally got my M&P

Hello friends I am new here and the M&P .40 I just purchased is used with a very low round count. It is an older model 6/14/07 I purchased it from a close friend.
I have wanted an M&P for a few years now simply because of the grip. I installed each back strap and prefer the small one.
My trip to the range was very rewarding to say the least, my grouping is not as tight as many will talk about however, I like the results at 40' the M&P provided so it surely earned it's spot next to my GLOCK 32.. I ordered a .357 sig barrel to see how that feels as well. I feel I have 2 very dependable tools now.

Congrats! Could never decide between M&P and Glock so I have both. Nice shooting and welcome!

Nothing wrong with that group from where I'm sitting! Welcome to the Forum from Indiana. My M&P 40 is a 2010 model police trade in. No issues and shoots very well also! Enjoy and let us know how that 357 Sig works out. :-)

It has been quite a while since I have been to the range however, I did finally get my .357sig barrel due to a low battery I could not take video but the report goes like this;
.40 barrel,
Nice and smooth in the M&P fullsize frame, very controlable, easier follow up shots than I expected.....
.357sig barrel,
For starters this may be an unfair comparison to my GLOCK-32 357SIG however, the M&P feels way more controlable similar to a GLOCK-31 which is a full size 357sig. The recoil feels a good amount softer, the snap is NOT as prominent and backup shots are almost flawless but that's on me.
In short the M&P is a FANTASTIC, very well crafted handgun which I would truly expect from Smith and Wesson.
My GLOCK and the M&P are definitely my go-to pistols.
