First ever stovepipe (Video)
I had my first ever stove pipe today. M&P9 Pro shooting 115 grain Freedom Munitions Reman ammo. This is a new gun, and although I haven't cleaned it yet, I highly doubt a dirty gun was the culprit. About 500 rounds through her since buying it about 2 months ago. I'm not limp wristing either, so the only conclusion I have is it has to be the ammo. You can tell I was a bit confused as I've never experienced one outside of self induced ones in training classes. I guess I need more training as my reaction was unacceptable IMHO. The stovepipe happens in the first 30 seconds, so you don't have to watch my horrible shooting for the rest of the video if you don't want to.

I always buy by the case. I think this was $189 shipped. (Free shipping promo).

Heyman,
First, I don't want to offend the Reman crowd nor the "Freedom Munitions" crowd as I know they have somewhat of a following. But, my experience has been the of ALL the reman loads that I have fired, they ALL were somewhat inconsistent (noticeably in the felt recoil and ejection) and All were on the light power side. As you may have noticed, I have capitalized ALL everytime (which I don't do often) because that has been my experience 100% of the time. Typically you won't see bullet velocity/energy specs from these manufacturers either.
Given that you said the gun was new; which is synonymous with the recoil spring being in its most stiff condition and couple that with light power loads and you're going to get inconsistent ejection and FTEs, stove pipes, etc. That was my experience and I don't bother with remans and haven't for quite some time. In addition, one of my shooting buddies has some ammo cans of remans from a "large reman" company and he gets a few FTEs from his Glock which is not new and has been "broken in."
If you do a little shopping online (assuming you can buy online and have delivered to your area), you can get factory new rounds with published specs for only a couple of cents more per round.
Good luck!

I don't buy 'factory' reloads......
I tried them once and swore off. If you don't mind some failures while you are ranging to save money ok, but I found them to be extremely inconsistent. From 'pop' to 'KABOOM'.

I no longer recommend or give my money to Freedom Munitions.
Plenty of bad experiences with their ammo and customer service.
Both their new and reman ammo have been problematic, and the dodgy CS solidified my opinion of them as a business.

Did the shots feel differently in terms of recoil? Look at the ejection of your cases. The first set was coming out very weakly. It looks like the last set ejected with authority. Some others are bouncing off the wall. Have you chrono'ed the ammo? I think you are right that the ammo is the culprit.

Wow. Great observation. I didn't notice that until you mentioned it. You're right, I can definitely see the ejection pattern is inconsistent. Between this, and other defects that I've personally seen in Freedom's ammo, I'm not buying from them anymore. And while I didn't think much of it at the time, there have definitely been occasions where I thought to myself, "That felt a little weak", after squeezing off a round.

Clean it up and then try any other ammo. I keep seeing Freedom Munitions mentioned in this and many other forums in increasingly unflattering commentary. Our last IDPA match we had a lady shooting some of that stuff and from the varying report (sounds) it was loaded very inconsitently, pop pop KAPOW Pop, POP, etc.
